Fire Chief Jeff Faucett has served the South Kitsap community since 1992, beginning as a volunteer firefighter with Fire District 7 before becoming a career firefighter in 1998 with South Kitsap Fire and Rescue. He was appointed to Fire Chief on July 1, 2020. He holds an associate’s degree in Fire Science, a Bachelor’s in Fire Administration, and a Master’s in Management and Leadership, and he is a graduate of the National Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program. Chief Faucett earned the Chief Fire Officer Designation from the Commission on Public Safety Excellence in 2016, 2019, 2022 and has held leadership roles with two IAFF Locals. He is an active member of the Washington Fire Chiefs, Western Fire Chiefs, International Association of Fire Chiefs. He has served the Washington Fire Chiefs as their legislative chair for the last two years. Committed to providing the highest level of service, Chief Faucett is focused on achieving national staffing standards, increasing operational efficiencies, and mentoring future leaders. He and his wife, Fawnda, enjoy spending time with their three children, spoiling their granddaughters Emmie Rowyn, traveling, golfing, attending sporting events, and being with family and friends.
