Wilsonville, Ore. — The Western Fire Chiefs Association (WFCA) is pleased to announce that David Blankinship will be supporting the mission of the Association in taking on the position of Senior Technology Advisor.  Intterra, well known for their efforts to further the fire service, has made this possible through a Loaned Executive Program.

David Blankinship is well fitted for the new post. Thoroughly experienced in aligning technology with fire protection, David brings considerable and valuable assistance to WFCA in forwarding the goals of the Association. “David has always been actively involved in the advancement of the fire service.”, said Jeff Johnson, WFCA’s CEO. “He will advocate directly for the changes our members would like to see in public safety technology. I would like to thank Intterra for giving us their support.”

David is a 25-year veteran of the Geospatial industry. He started in the utilities sector, then spent 10+ years as the Senior GIS Analyst for Colorado Springs Fire. While there, David deployed across the country supporting disasters and major incidents and thinking about how to get information to decision-makers when they needed it, no matter where they were. After a successful career in Fire, David co-founded Intterra, a market-leading public safety tech firm, growing it over the next 10 years into an influencer in the industry. In this newly created role, David will apply his experience and industry knowledge to accelerate WFCA’s vision to use the best of emerging technologies to protect life and property.
