Wildland Fire Leadership Council (WFLC) Announces Strategic Fire Management Approach

The Wildland Fire Leadership Council’s (WFLC) has released a Leaders’ Intent that outlines plans to increase prescribed and managed fire use, while enhancing cross-agency resource sharing for these operations. As a key stakeholder in wildland fire management, the Western Fire Chiefs Association (WFCA) supports this strategic approach. This initiative recognizes the critical importance of prescribed and managed fire in maintaining ecosystem health and community safety.
