Cal OES is recruiting for an Assistant Chief for Region IV of the Fire & Rescue Branch. Region IV covers the following counties: Nevada County, Placer County, El Dorado County, Alpine County, Tuolumne County, Amador County, Calaveras County, Yolo County, Sacramento County, San Joaquin County, and Stanislaus County.

Under the direction of the Deputy Chief, Fire North Operations (Fire & Rescue), incumbent will provide continuous support and coordination to the public safety/emergency management community. Incumbent responds to emergencies and incidents within California or outside California as assigned. Incumbent will provide professional staff support related to the fire and rescue operations of the branch on a continuous basis. Provide collaboration and coordination to the fire and rescue community within the state’s mutual aid system and all other relative stakeholders affected or associated with the agency’s mission and vision.

Working Conditions
The primary headquarters for this position is Sacramento County.
In Office: This position supports and manages the day-to-day business operations for Cal OES which is handled in an office location. This is not considered a hybrid telework position.
DMV Pull Program: Participation in the DMV Pull Program is required. The position(s) require(s) a valid Driver’s License (DL). You must answer the questions addressing your DL on your application. Ensure you provide your DL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions.
