Communications Deployment Supervisor

📍 Las Vegas, NV | Durango, CO

Get Paid to Respond When It Matters Most: STComms Inc is looking for motivated, field-ready professionals to support emergency response communications across a multi-state footprint.

This is not a typical job.

You’ll deploy to real-world disasters and emergency missions—wildfires, floods, search and rescue operations, and more—working alongside local, tribal, state, and federal partners. Your role is to keep public safety and first responders connected when it matters most, bringing critical communication systems online when they’re down, overloaded, or needed in rural areas.

If you’re someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys travel, and wants to be part of real-world emergency response—this role offers a unique opportunity to build experience while making a meaningful impact.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Deploy, operate and manage CRD (Compact Rapid Deployable) communication systems
  • Tow trailers and drive company trucks to incident locations
  • Support local, tribal, state and federal agencies/partners and more
  • Travel across state lines as required to active incidents and disaster areas
  • Troubleshoot and maintain communications equipment in the field
  • Work directly with public safety officials, clients, deployment partners and other STComms employees to ensure the most effective deployment plan and execution
  • Document deployments through STComms reports
  • Maintain operational readiness by performing regular maintenance, software/hardware updates

What the Job Is Like:

  • 24/7/365 response readiness (structured in compliance with labor laws)
  • Workload fluctuates significantly depending on incident activity
  • Busy seasons = frequent deployments + overtime
  • Slower periods = consistent base pay with fewer callouts
  • Mix of planned and rapid-response deployments
  • Travel is expected and may include overnight stays
  • 👉 You’ll see a lot, learn a lot, and be part of real incidents—not just training environments.

Who This Is a Good Fit For:

  • Wildland firefighters, EMTs, search and rescue personnel, or public safety professionals
  • People who enjoy field work, travel, and hands-on problem solving
  • Individuals looking for year-round stability with real-world impact
  • Those who work well in small teams and high-responsibility roles

Required Qualifications:

  • Prior public safety or emergency response experience
  • Wilderness First Responder (WFR) or higher medical certification
  • NWCG or ICS training + current RT130
  • Ability to tow trailers and operate trucks safely
  • Ability to drive long distances
  • Strong work ethic and ability to operate independently
  • Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer use
  • Professional communication and ability to maintain confidentiality

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Full-time hourly position ($35 – $42/hour dependent on location and experience)
  • Guaranteed 40 hours per week
  • Overtime paid in accordance with applicable laws
  • 401(k) with 5% employer match
  • Health insurance benefits

What We Provide:

  • Company truck and trailer
