Hood River Fire & EMS is hiring for two (2) Firefighter/Paramedic, with an anticipated start date of April 14, 2026
and is also establishing an eligibility list for future vacancies. First Review March 25, 2026.

This position requires a FireTEAM written examination and a Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) that is valid
within the last 6 months. After the application process closes, Hood River Fire & EMS will contact candidates on the eligibility list and invite them to participate in the following stages of the department selection process.

CPAT must be valid within the last six (6) months
All required testing must be completed no later than 11:50 PM on Friday, March 27, 2026, to be considered for
the current vacancy.
Following the close of the application period, candidates on the eligibility list will be contacted and invited to
participate in additional phases of the department’s selection process.
Salary
Hourly : $31.64 – $35.61 (includes 9% paramedic premium)
Monthly: $7,700 (entry-Step 1) – $8,666 (Step 5)
FLSA: Non-Exempt
