Salary Range: $65,000 – $90,000 DOQ
The Shift Officer / Maintenance Coordinator directs the activities of EMS and firefighting companies and provides training to all staff volunteer and career during a 48/96 shift. Duties include responsibility for personnel on a daily shift, apparatus, equipment, and facilities. Directs and participates in extinguishing and preventing fires, provides emergency medical services, training, public fire education, fire prevention activities, and apparatus and facilities maintenance. Plans, supervises, and participates in the training and instruction of district members in the methods of lifesaving and firefighting; oversees the daily activities (emergency and non emergency) of assigned district members; maintains readiness and proficiency levels as required by the department; acts within established department guidelines and regulations. Works in conjunction with the Chief to develop and coordinate maintenance and replacement of district equipment and apparatus.
