Winlock Fire & Rescue is testing to fill one (1) current vacancy for Lateral Firefighter/Paramedic.

Winlock Fire & Rescue is a combination Fire District in Lewis County, WA with a response area of 42 square miles. We currently have a full-time Fire Chief, three full-time Lieutenant Firefighter/EMT’s, four full-time Firefighter/EMT’s, six full-time Firefighter/PM’s and four volunteers. Winlock Fire & Rescue is as an all-risk response agency that responds to any emergency-related situation (fires, rescues, medical emergencies, hazardous materials incidents, natural and man-made disasters, etc.)

Position Description
The career Firefighter/Paramedic reports directly to the career Lieutenant and Medical Services Officer (MSO). The primary responsibilities of this position include, emergency medical and fire response, maintaining operational readiness, assisting with training, supporting fire and life safety education programs and EMS transport. The successful candidate will be expected to work well with and support recruiting, training, and mentoring of volunteer team members. This position will be working a 48/96 shift schedule.

Start Date: TBD
Salary: Step 1 annual base per current IAFF Local 2510 CBA $81,838.80.
