Samantha Didion has been with the Western Fire Chiefs Association since June 2023 and has been hosting the Fire Headlines Podcast since September 2023. She earned her Master’s degree in Strategic Communications from Washington State University in May 2024. With a passion for storytelling and communication, Samantha brings a fresh perspective and dynamic expertise to the podcast.

Originally from Ohio, Samantha moved to Southern Oregon after completing her undergraduate degree in 2020 to work as a multimedia journalist at a TV news station. After a year in the news industry, she transitioned into the fire service, taking on the role of Community Engagement Coordinator at a local fire department. Her unique blend of media experience and fire service insight now enriches her work on the podcast, where she’s excited to share compelling stories and critical information with a broader audience.
